Shimano Ultegra CN 6600 10 Speed Chain Review: Shimano CN-6600 Ultegra 10-Speed Chain. I've used the CN-6600 chains for a long time and have always been pleased with their performance. However, on my rebuilt bike the new CN-6700 chain was installed. @ about 1,000 miles for no apparent reason a stiff link developed. In IMHO the bike comapnies are pushing the envelope toooooo far. Cutting the sides out of the plates of the links and hollow pins to make the chain a bit lighter. While the 6700 chain is asymetrical and supposed to shift better...I notice no difffrence ...
